FVWM - infos, screenshots and configuration
Introduction
I'll collect some useful information about FVWM on this page. I'm currently using versions 2.4.x and 2.5.x of FVWM. The configuration will work with both of them. For details see below.
As soon as I have uploaded all important stuff to this page I'll send screenshots and configuration files to the FVWM-team to be included on their samplespage. I'll add all changes to my configuration files and hints nearly in realtime (=it will not take longer than one or two years until you can find the newest information here)
What is that, FVWM?
FVWM is a Windowmanager for X11. Some time ago it was the default WM for some major Linux distributions. The base configuration is very easy to do, but if you want more you can get FVWM to do really everything for you (well, maybe except sex).

My configuration
I'm currently rearranging the chaos and adding comments. I started with a clean structure, but...
Below you can find some information to my configuration files. I built this configuration for FVWM 2.4. After switching to 2.5 the only thing I changed were some buttons. Since FVWM 2.5 can handle PNGs I used PNG images instead of converting them to XPMs. If you want to use this with 2.4 you will need to replace all PNGs with XPMs

Main configuration. Mainly points to different hooks.
Hooks
init.hook
Insert all programs to be loaded on FVWM-startup here. Do not insert FVWM-modules into this file!
default-style.hook
init-restart.hook
Insert all stuff to be loaded on startup and reload of FVWM. On the opposite to FVWM-modules you may not insert "normal" executables here -- they keep running during a FVWM-restart while modules get killed.
post.hook
Insert all stuff to be loaded after everything else here.
